Sharon Osbourne: I’ll do Strictly Come Dancing but I’d prefer to do panto
Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she’d love to go on Strictly Come Dancing - but would prefer a stint in panto.
Sharon was offered a slot on last year’s series of Strictly but turned it down out of loyalty to rival reality show The X Factor - which she had helped judge until June.
However, as she increasingly burns her bridges with the talent competition, she’s said she’d consider taking to the dancefloor: “I’d definitely think about it. I can just picture me rehearsing at home with Ozzy - me and him doing the paso doble.
“But my biggest ambition, believe it or not, is to do panto in England. I love it. I’m dying for that, seriously. I think I’d be a brilliant fairy godmother - failing that, I can always beat someone up on stage.
“The Americans don’t understand - men dressing up as women, women dressing up as men, yelling, ‘He’s behind you’ and ‘Boo, hiss!’ But it’s such a brilliant tradition, and I would love to do it. At Christmas time it’s the funniest thing to do.”
- What panto role do you think would suit Sharon best? Is she a wicked witch or a fairy godmother? Have your say below.
