Simon Cowell apologises to Kelly Brook and offers her another job
Simon Cowell has apologised Kelly Brook and offered her a job on Britain’s Got Talent spin-off show after she was axed from the talent show’s judging panel after less than a week.
Kelly was hired to join Simon, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden on the panel last week, the evening before auditions started in Manchester. However, less than a week later, she was dumped from the panel after producers decided four judges would overcomplicate the format.
Simon told the Mirror: “I have spoken to Kelly on the phone and apologised.
“She was very pragmatic and very professional about it, although obviously a bit sad about no longer being a judge. I am sure she had shed a couple of tears but she’s a tough little cookie.
“I’ve offered Kelly a part on my ITV2 show. I actually liked her - she was good, she was fine.
“The problem was not her. Britain’s Got Talent just doesn’t work with four people. She is a warm person, who looks great and is very enthusiastic and that is why I spoke to her about the ITV2 show. I hope she’ll accept.”
Kelly is said to have been offered her full salary of £200,000 for the six days work she did on the series as a pay off for the u-turn.
