jade goodyJade Goody has reportedly agreed to allow cameras to continue filming her fight against cancer.

The former Big Brother star has been filmed for Living TV over the last few months as she’s undergone treatment for cervical cancer. She was diagnosed with the disease in August last year and given a survival rate of 50%, but that figure has now dropped down to 40% despite undergoing a radical hysterectomy and intensive radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments. The latest episode of the show saw Jade losing her hair due to chemotherapy earlier this month - causing producers to worry that she needs to focus on her health instead of thinking about the cameras.

An inside source told the Sun: “There has been talk about whether it would be right to carry on. But Jade is a fighter and it would seem unnecessarily harsh to axe the show.”

“Bosses have always asked Jade whether she was happy to carry on and have taken tough decisions about whether the filming should continue. She has said it is fine.”

A spokesperson for the channel added: “Living TV’s priority is Jade’s health. If at any time she doesn’t want to continue, we will respect and honour that and stop filming.”
