Geri Halliwell announces her engagement to boyfriend of a month

Geri Halliwell has revealed she’s got engaged to new boyfriend Fabrizio Politi.

Geri is only said to have met the yacht tycoon in December but the former Spice Girl’s management company announced news of their engagement yesterday.

Their statement revealed: “We are delighted to announce the engagement of Geri Halliwell and Fabrizio Politi.

“As a token of their commitment to each other Fabrizio presented Geri with an engagement ring over the festive season.

“There are no immediate plans for marriage as the couple are enjoying their engagement.”

A source close to Geri told the Mirror that she is convinced he’s “The One”, saying: “I am over the moon. We are so happy. He constantly makes me smile. I could not be any happier.”

The source added that while they’re not going to rush into marriage: “Geri is desperate for another brother or sister for her daughter, and to have a man in her life who can be a father to them.

“It feels right and they are both very happy. Fabrizio makes Geri blissfully content.”

Geri gave birth to her first child Bluebell in May 2006. At first she refused to name the baby’s father, even on the birth certificate, but later confirmed that it was her previous boyfriend Sacha Gervasi.
