Amy Winehouse to meet with husband to get him to call off divorce?

Amy Winehouse has reportedly applied to visit husband Blake Fielder-Civil in jail to ask him, in person, to halt their divorce proceedings.

Amy is said to have met with lawyers in December last year to discuss the end of the couple’s 18 month marriage but then changed her mind over Christmas - only to have Blake start proceedings against her this month after her very public holiday romance.

Amy, who is still on her extended holiday in St Lucia in the Caribbean, has previous said she won’t let Blake divorce her and according to the Sun, has now asked for permission to visit Blake in person to discuss the situation.

A source close to the singer told the newspaper: “Since he began divorce proceedings Amy has decided she wants to try and work things out.

“She has applied to visit him in jail in Britain and if he accepts she will fly back. We will see what is his priority. Amy or her money.”

Amy is thought to have only seen Blake once since he was sentenced to 27 months in jail last July. He visited her in hospital briefly last month shortly before he was recalled to jail from rehab after breaking the conditions of his early release and failing a drug test. He is now expected to stay in jail until the end of his sentence in 2010.
