emma watsonEmma Watson has said she doesn’t plan to put her acting career entirely on hold when she starts university this autumn.

The Harry Potter star, who achieved straight As at A-Level, was looking at degree courses at Ivy League schools in the US but is believed to have decided to read English at Trinity College, Cambridge instead.

She told the Mail on Sunday recently that while her Harry Potter duties should come to an end this year, she hopes to continue working on other projects inbetween her studies: “Jodie Foster did it, Natalie Portman did it. I think it’s entirely possible to juggle university with filming.

“I actually think going to university will make me a better actress. The experience of living like that, working to deadlines, living with other students. It’s all the things I want.

“There are actresses who don’t know about things like doing their own laundry and getting a bus. I’m not going to be like that.”

She added: “For me, this is just the beginning. I’ve only shown a little bit of what I can do. There is so much more to come.”

Jodie made a number of films while studied literature at Yale University and Natalie Portman juggled her degree in psychology with making the Star Wars prequels.
