victoria beckhamVictoria Beckham has reportedly joined the shortlist of stars to replace Dannii Minogue on The X Factor.

The ITV1 show’s producers are said to be keen to replace Dannii, who has been a judge for the last two series of the show, to shake things up a bit for X Factor 6, which starts filming this summer. After the success of Cheryl Cole’s introduction, executive producer and head judge Simon Cowell is said to be hoping to replace Dannii with another high profile star, who can bring both glamour and personality to the show.

A source told the Daily Mail that while Victoria has concentrated on fashion and life in Los Angeles for the last few years, she’s interested in the job because it would be perfectly timed with husband David Beckham’s potential move back to Europe playing for AC Milan.

The source explained: “She doesn’t want to come back to Europe with her tail between her legs. But if she can return here to be on The X Factor, then that is different.”

Simon Cowell’s spokesperson Max Clifford said he hadn’t heard anything about the potential deal but suggested it was possible: “Simon speaks very highly of Victoria. I know he likes her a lot.”

Other potential candidates include Charlotte Church and Lily Allen. Both have expressed an interest in the position with Lily Allen saying this week: “I haven’t been asked but I’d love to do it. The world would be a lesser place if we did not have winners Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke.

“It’s a great programme - and I think I’d be quite good.”
