X Factor’s Alexandra Burke signs £3million five album deal in US
Alexandra Burke has reportedly landed herself a £3million record deal in the US.
The X Factor winner is said to have landed the contract with Epic after the success of her debut single ‘Hallelujah’ in the UK at Christmas.
The five album deal is expected to see her working with the producers and managers who spearheaded Beyonce Knowles and Rihanna’s success, with the hope of emulating previous X Factor winner Leona Lewis‘ Stateside success.
A source told the Sun: “Epic think Alexandra can follow in Leona’s footsteps.
“The US market loves women with big voices - and Alex certainly has that. If she comes close to Leona’s success it will be a job well done.”
But global success will have its downsides: according to the Daily Mail, Alex is already finding it hard to deal with her newfound fame.
A source told the newspaper that since she won the talent contest in December, fans have been beseiged her family home in Islington: “Alex was a bit shocked at the following she has gained since the X Factor, and although she loves her fans, it was getting a bit much for her.
“It was for her own safety and security that she moved.
“It had got to the stage where some people were going through her rubbish to see what they could find.
“It is the first time she has lived away from home though, and she is already missing her family and home cooking. She is a real home girl, and didn’t want to go far. She can still pop home easily.”
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
