After splitting up with long-term boyfriend Travis McCoy over Christmas, Katy had made it clear she wasn’t interested in celebrating the most loved-up day of the year - calling it “the horror that is Valentine’s Day” - but is said to have made a new friend in the shape of Good Charlotte star Benji that evening anyway.

Following her gig at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Katy and Benji headed to Lavo together and according to onlookers, were inseparable.

One fellow club-goer explained: “They were all over each other all night, hugging, touching… There was definitely some chemistry there.”

Benji split up from Paris last November after around nine months together.
