jett travoltaJohn Travolta and wife Kelly Preston are reportedly doing their best to not let themselves be overcome by grief following the death of their son last month.

Sixteen year old Jett Travolta died at New Year following a seizure at the family’s holiday home in the Bahamas. John gave him CPR until paramedics arrived but the boy was pronounced dead when he reached hospital. After an autopsy, Jett was cremated in the Bahamas and the family flew home with the ashes for a memorial service at their home in Florida.

A source close to the family told People magazine that John and Kelly are broken hearted at the loss but want to keep life as normal as possible for the sake of their eight year old daughter, Ella: “[They are] regrouping and pushing through the grieving process.

“They are trying to grieve and return to some sort of normalcy for Ella. But life isn’t normal without Jett.”

As well as the boy’s death, the family have also had to deal with an alleged bribery attempt by the ambulance driver who drove Jett to hospital. The driver and a former Bahamas politician have been charged with conspiring to extort a reported $25million from the family.

The source added: “They were so hurt by the moochers. But things have calmed down. Every day it gets better.”
