Slumdog Millionaire’s Freida Pinto secretly married for a year?

Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto was reportedly secretly married to the man she dumped last week.

The actress was said to have dumped fiance Rohan Antao late last month to take advantage of the “incredible opportunity” the award-winning film had given her. But according to the Times of India, the couple, who met at university in Mumbai, got married in secret in December 2007.

A source told the newspaper: “They had decided that they would get married in Goa, which is Rohan’s hometown. They had booked a hotel for the wedding.

“Freida had given the designer just five days to make her gown as the wedding had to take place in late December 2007. They were together even when she completed shooting for Slumdog Millionaire.

“But once the film started making waves internationally she decided to dump Rohan. He is completely shocked at being dumped and is heartbroken [but] he is not the kind who will go out and speak against her.”

Freida is said to be planning to move to the US to pursue her Hollywood acting career. Slumdog Millionaire is nominated for ten awards at this weekend’s Academy Awards.
