Usher’s wife Tameka Foster returns home after surgery scare

Usher’s wife Tameka Foster Raymond has returned to the US after nearly dying during surgery earlier in the month.

Tameka was undergoing a liposuction operation in Brazil when she reportedly suffered a heart attack leading to cardiac arrest. According to reports, doctors at the hospital in Sao Paulo revived her and she was placed in an induced coma for 24 hours to lessen the strain on her recovering system.

Usher cancelled his performance at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammys Gala and several other shows that week in order to fly to South America to be with his wife.

A source close to the family revealed: “It was a serious scare but Tameka is fine now.”

Usher and Tameka welcomed their second son in December.
