Jack Tweed asks for curfew to be lifted so he can be with Jade Goody

Jack Tweed has asked to have his curfew lifted so he can spend more time with wife Jade Goody in her final weeks.

As part of his parole conditions, the 21 year old has to wear an electronic tag and must stay at his mum’s house in Buckhurst Hill, Essex between the hours of 7pm-7am every day. His curfew was lifted temporarily on Sunday night so that he and Jade could spend their wedding night together but now he has to leave his wife at her home in Upshire, 20 minutes drive away.

Jack attended a meeting with his probation offices yesterday to make the request and afterwards said he was “feeling hopeful” that it would be met: “Hopefully they will relax the tag to let me be with Jade. She’s my wife and she needs me by her side.”

A source close to the couple told the Sun: “Not having her husband with her is causing added upset to Jade.

“She becomes tearful when it starts getting close to the time when Jack has to leave.

“He said he will break the curfew if she starts slipping away - but she doesn’t want him to end up back in prison. It is a constant stress which she doesn’t need.

“They have had such a short time together as man and wife. It would be heartbreaking if they were denied this final time together.”

Jade’s spokesperson Max Clifford added: “They are [just] exploring possibilities. Both Jade and Jack were chuffed they got to spend their wedding night together.

“We are not taking liberties. We don’t want to push it and we understand the deal - but it would be wonderful if something could be done.

“Jade would obviously love to have her husband by her side at the moment.”

Jade and Jack have dated off-and-on for around four years and were in an “off” period when Jade was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August last year. The following month as Jade was beginning treatment, the pair reconciled after Jack was sentenced to 21 months in jail for assaulting a teenager with a golf club. He was conditionally released from jail in January but could be returned next month as he is due in court concerning another assault charge.
