Sarah Jessica Parker: I still regret wearing black for my wedding

Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed she regrets wearing a black wedding dress.

Sarah wore a completely black prom dress when she married Matthew Broderick in May 1997 because she thought it would be “embarrassing” to wear white.

But she told Harper’s Bazaar recently that if she could do it again, she’d go from something more traditional.

She explained: “[I would] white it up. I’d wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn on that day.

“[Our son] James Wilkie’s teacher is getting married, and he said, ‘Do you think she will be wearing black?’ I said, ‘No! I can almost assure you.’

“Then he said, ‘Do you still regret it?’ and I said, ‘Yes, I still regret it.’”
