Promoting their film Marley & Me around Europe, the pair appeared on Wetten, dass…? on Saturday night and bet against each other on whether or not they thought a woman could identify her dogs by listening to them lap soup.

Owen was “forced” to eat a dog treat as punishment for incorrectly doubting the woman’s abilities but refused to bite unless Jennifer joined him.

He told the host “I wish I had known the stakes first” but then turned to the former Friends star to say: “Honey, we’re in this together.”

The pair ate the hard biscuits but Jennifer wasn’t taken by the treat, explaining: “They’re a little dry.”
