amy winehouseAmy Winehouse’s latest arrest will reportedly hinder her US domination plans for this year.

The singer’s second album ‘Back to Black’ garnered her five Grammy Awards last year and sold over 2 million copies Stateside but the star was unable to play gigs in the country - even at the Grammys itself - last year because of her ongoing drug problems.

Now with those under control, she was lined up to play at next month’s prestigious Coachella festival in California - but sources say her arrest last week for assault will make it almost impossible for her to obtain the necessary work visa.

A source told the Sun: “It’s almost certain Amy won’t be playing in America for the foreseeable future because of the arrest.

“But she knows she has to concentrate on rebuilding her reputation here [instead].”

Amy was arrested after voluntarily surrendering for questioning at a police station in London last week. The assault charge is related to an incident following a gig in September last year when she is said to have hit a fan while trying to leave the charity event.
