Nicole Richie: I don’t know when or if I’ll marry Joel Madden

Nicole Richie has said she doesn’t know when - or if - she’ll marry fiance Joel Madden.

The couple got engaged in summer 2007 after Nicole found out she was pregnant with their first child. They were originally rumoured to be planning to marry that autumn but instead decided that they’d concentrate on enjoying the pregnancy. Nicole gave birth to daughter Harlow in January 2008 and last month announced she is expecting their second child this summer.

But the socialite, who rose to fame opposite former BFF Paris Hilton in reality show The Simple Life, has explained that she now doesn’t know when, or even if, she’ll marry the Good Charlotte star.

She said recently: “I don’t know about the future. I make it a custom not to plan the future. I may [marry him] and I may not.”
