Geri HalliwellGeri Halliwell has split from her fiancé after just four months.

The Spice Girl met yacht tycoon Fabrizio Politi in a nightclub in Florence, Italy in December and Fabrizio proposed just a few weeks later, while Geri and her daughter Bluebell were staying with him in Italy.

Geri’s spokespeople confirmed the engagement in January but a source told the Sun that she’s now changed her mind about the idea of marrying him: “She woke up one morning last week and decided she just wasn’t the marrying type.

“She loved being in a relationship but decided that all she needs is her daughter Bluebell to keep her happy.

“Fabrizio is upset but totally respects Geri’s wishes.

“Her friends are not surprised - Geri has a track record for getting cold feet.”

Geri admitted last year that she can’t really see the point of marriag: “I’d love to find my soulmate and think, ‘Oh my God’ [but] so many people get divorced - why effing bother.”
