Jade Goody leaves hospital to spend last days at home with loved ones
Jade Goody has left hospital for what may be the last time, so she can spend her final days at home.
The reality TV star is said to have begged her family and doctors to allow her to leave the Royal Marsden Hospital in London to return to her home in Upshire, Essex - and after medics stabilised her pain medication, her wish has now been granted.
Her spokesperson Max Clifford explained that she was taken home in an ambulance with husband Jack Tweed at her side: “They are going back home.
“Obviously, they’ve decided she’s well enough to go. One of the nurses is going with her.
“Jade knows she hasn’t very long and wants to be at home surrounded by loved ones and family.”
In a final interview with OK magazine published this week, Jade explained that she is hoping for a public funeral to allow everyone who has supported her through her cancer battle to “pay their respects”.
She added that she hopes she’ll be remembered as “a mouthy bird - the one who irritated and entertained people in equal measure. But I also want to be remembered as the girl who put up a fight and would never let herself get beaten down.
“I was given a death sentence but I didn’t let it kill me. I fought it, got married, got christened. I’m happy.
“I’ve achieved more in 27 years than some achieve in a lifetime. I could bitch about dying young but at the end of the day I can look back on my life and be proud of what I’ve done.”
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
