rihannaRihanna reportedly had a second birthday celebration in Hollywood on Tuesday night - but still didn’t get to celebrate her special day with boyfriend Chris Brown because their publicists and advisers can’t agree on whether the couple should be seen out and about together yet.

The singer turned 21 on 20th February - 12 days after Chris allegedly assaulted her during an argument in his car. Rihanna went into hiding after the incident and so only had a small-scale party at a private home in Beverly Hills on her birthday itself, prompting a further celebration out on the town this week.

According to sources, she hit Coco de Ville in West Hollywood on Tuesday night with a group of friends. The party worked their way through champagne, “fun shots” and less fun shots in the former of Grey Goose vodka and Jack Daniels, and had a giant cupcake tower cake to mark the star’s birthday. But despite reconciling with Chris in Miami a fortnight ago, Rihanna had to attend her party on her own.

A source explained: “Rihanna’s people don’t want her seen in public with Chris yet. She’s back with him but her people want to keep it low key until all the legal issues play out.”

But the source added that Chris’ people want the opposite: “Chris’ team thinks it’ll help heal his reputation if everyone sees them back together.”
