Britney Spears bonding with her boys on her tour
Britney Spears‘ current tour is reportedly proving to be an excellent bonding experience for her and her sons.
Britney’s sons, two year old Jayden and three year old Sean from her previous marriage to Kevin Federline, are accompanying the star on her North American tour, staying in one of three bases while Britney travels around to the 36 tour dates. Britney’s legal team arranged the deal with Kevin to allow the singer to continue seeing the boys regularly in between performances, without unnecessary amounts of travel.
A source close to the family told OK magazine: “This tour has had a totally unexpected impact on Britney and her own kids, turning them into a real family.
“At first, [Sean] Preston and Jayden were set to stay home with dad Kevin Federline, but as the start date came closer, the boys begged their mother not to leave them.
“She worried, ‘Can I handle [both the tour and being a mum]?’ but it’s working out better than anyone could have predicted.
“Even though Britney is working harder than she has in years, she’s also spending more time with the kids than she has in their entire lives. Britney is finally a grown-up who is taking being a parent seriously.”
In between gigs last week, the 27 year old took the boys to meet her old co-star Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World. Britney first rose to fame on The New Mickey Mouse Club in the early 1990s and met the boys’ father, former dancer Kevin on her last large scale tour in 2004.
