Robert Pattinson: I had a panic attack at the Twilight premiere

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has revealed he had a panic attack during the teen vampire movie’s premiere.

The actor told the new issue of GQ magazine that it was too much watching himself on the big screen at such a big event, knowing it would catapult him into the limelight.

He explained he left the cinema after ten minutes: “I went out and sat in the car, having a full-blown panic attack.”

He added though that his newfound status as a cult teen star means he can pick and choose the best film roles instead of having to take everything that comes along: “[I’m] not massively concerned about doing lots of acting jobs.

“If it all just went [away], right now, I’d be like, ‘All right. I don’t really care’.

“That’s probably a stupid thing to say. But I don’t, really. I think it’d be much worse to do a load of [movies] that are really bad.”

Rob also used the interview to deny that he’s romancing Joe Jonas‘ girlfriend Camilla Belle, insisting they’re just “friends .. that’s the extent of it.”
