The Superman Returns star began dating James, a British model, in September 2006, shortly after finishing with her last long term boyfriend, Orlando Bloom.

But a source told the Daily Mail: “Kate dumped James a month ago following fights over their work schedules.

“She has insisted on remaining in Los Angeles to further her career but he loves England and didn’t want to move to LA.

“Kate is now telling friends she’s ready to date again.”
