jade goodyJade Goody’s family have reportedly been told that the reality TV star is likely to die within the next 24 hours after she took a turn for the worst on Friday.

The one-time Big Brother star left hospital last week to return to her home in Upshire, Essex after expressing her desire to die there.

A soruce close to the family told the News of the World: “The family were told maybe Jade would make it to Tuesday but after such a bad night [on Friday] that’s been revised to Monday and maybe sooner.

“She’s in a very bad way and has been in so much awful pain. One of the problems is she’s terrified of falling asleep because she’s afraid she’ll never wake up. That means she completely exhausts herself. It was terrible.

“They’ve given her a lot of medication and she’s been in a deep sleep most of [Saturday .. but she’s] getting weaker and weaker and is looking very pale.

“We all knew it was getting close when she couldn’t even raise a smile or give a thumbs-up when she was taken home from hospital on Wednesday.

“She’s gone downhill a lot since then and everyone around her is really upset. Her mum Jackiey is in pieces. Everyone knew this was going to happen, but it’s still desperately sad.”

Jade’s husband Jack Tweed is currently only allowed to spend Thursday and Saturday nights with his wife as he is on conditional release from jail which requires him to be at his mum’s house between the hours of 7pm-7am for the rest of the week. However, he was allowed to visit Jade on Friday night because of the severity of her condition.

He explained: “When I got the call I was absolutely terrified. The thought that our fairytale could be over already filled me with dread and sadness.”
