jade goodyJade Goody’s family have reportedly planned a lavish funeral for the reality TV star after she dies this week.

Jade is said to have helped with the planning before she took a turn for the worst this weekend. Sources close to the one-time Big Brother star have said she is now unlikely to make it to Tuesday, despite previous predictions expecting her to survive until around the end of the month.

According to the People newspaper, her family have appointed undertakers FA Albin & Sons to handle the arrangements, which will include a 150 year old horse-drawn hearse, a coffin made of oak from a local forest, and a 21 car procession through Bermondsey in south London, where Jade grew up.

A source told the newspaper: “It has been heartbreaking for Jade to oversee plans for her own funeral but she has been involved every step of the way.

“Jack, her mum Jackiey, as well as Jade’s ex-boyfriend Jeff Brazier, have been there to help with arrangements.

“Of course it will be sad but it is a day that Jade wants everyone to remember as they celebrate her short life which has been full of happiness.

“Jade has it all organised to make sure she leaves this world in true style.

“She has been inundated with letters from fans since she was diagnosed with cancer and knows how many people want to say goodbye to her.

“That is why no expense is being spared to ensure all wellwishers get the chance to say their final goodbyes. There will be speakers and possibly screens to relay the service to the crowds expected outside the church.”

The ceremony, which will include Jade’s favourite hymn ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’, is expected to take place at St John the Baptist in Buckhurst Hill, Essex with Jade to be buried in the churchyard afterwards.

Her spokesperson Max Clifford confirmed: “The funeral will be a reflection of how she’s lived in the last seven years [since Big Brother] -full on.

“She wants to say farewell to anyone who wants to be there. It will mirror the happiest seven years of her life. There will be tears, but a lot of love and laughter as well.”
