Denise RichardsDenise Richards has said she’s really “happy” for ex-husband Charlie Sheen after he became a father of two baby boys at the weekend.

Denise and Charlie had a bitter custody dispute over their girls - five year old Sam and three year old Lola - following their split in 2005, which has resulted in smear campaigns, email leaks and numerous court room battles.

But now the Starship Troopers actress has said she’s happy for Charlie and Sam & Lola are delighted at the prospect of new baby brothers: “I’m so happy for them. The girls are really excited that they’re big sisters now.

“They’ve already made them a couple pictures and they can’t wait to see them.”

But she said she won’t be rushing around to visit Charlie, new wife Brooke Mueller and the boys Max & Bob in the hospital: “[Brooke and Charlie] just had the babies and we’re letting Brooke heal.

“Then they will see their new brothers. They can’t wait. They actually drew a picture for them, they are so excited.”

The babies are said to be “doing great” despite arriving several weeks prematurely on Saturday night. Charlie and Brooke married last May.
