Gwyneth Paltrow: I don’t know why the media is interested in my quiet life

Gwyneth Paltrow has said she doesn’t understand why she’s still a regular feature in gossip columns and followed by the paparazzi.

The Iron Man star had a break from Hollywood for a few years to have children with her Coldplay frontman husband Chris Martin. The actress gave birth to daughter Apple in 2004 and son Moses in 2006, and has since returned to making moves but insists she still lives a “very quiet life”.

She explained recently: “I understand it if you’re being a loudmouth and you’re criticising people and you’re drunk in public - you’re a lightning rod [for media attention].

“It’s obvious if you’re wild you’re drawing the attention, like Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears. But I live a very quiet life. I don’t do anything scandalous - not that I wouldn’t, just happen not to.”
