Alesha Dixon lined up for Strictly Come Dancing hosting job?

Alesha Dixon is reportedly being lined up to present Strictly Come Dancing while Tess Daly is on maternity leave.

Alesha has not had any TV presenting experience but after winning the celebrity dance off in 2007, the show’s producers know she’s a hit with the audience.

An inside source told the Mirror: “Alesha is one of Strictly’s most popular winners and very much part of the Strictly ‘family’.

“Bosses hope that she will help give the show a bit of a shake-up alongside Bruce Forsyth.

“They have been keen for her to have a role on the show for some time but so far have struggled to find an opportunity to bring her in.

“But Tess’s pregnancy is the perfect opening.”

Tess is due to give birth to her second child with husband Vernon Kay in June. Strictly’s first winner Natasha Kaplinsky stood in when Tess gave birth to daughter Phoebe in 2004.
