Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz “on the rocks”?

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s relationship has reportedly hit a sticky patch less than a year after their marriage.

The couple, who began dating in late 2006, married last May and just days later, confirmed that Ashlee was pregnant with their first child together. The pair welcomed son Bronx Mowgli Wentz in November last year but sources close to the pair claim that’s when things started to go down hill.

A source told the New York Post’s Page Six: “Ashlee and Pete are on the rocks. He is going out all the time and she’s stuck at home. It’s just not working.”

A spokesperson for Ashlee denied the rumours, saying that the young couple are currently spending some alone time together in Australia before Pete embarks the new Fall Out Boy tour next month: “Everything is fine in their world.”

Ashlee recently confirmed that she will return to TV later this year in the as-yet untitled Melrose Place spin-off.
