kym marshCoronation Street star Kym Marsh has been granted a “quickie” divorce from her ex-Eastender husband Jack Ryder after she admitted adultery.

The couple split a year ago but in the court papers, Jack stated that in July last year, Kym admitted to him that she had been unfaithful during their seven year marriage and that the adultery was “ongoing” with her now-fiance Jamie Lomas.

District Judge Lynn Roberts granted the couple’s decree nisi yesterday and Kym agreed to pay portion of Jack’s legal costs related to the divorce.

The couple married in August 2002 after meeting at a canteen in the BBC when Jack was an Eastenders star and Kym was performing on Top of the Pops in Hear’Say. At the time of their split last March, they insisted their split was amicable and they would “remain friends”.

In December last year, Kym announced she was pregnant by Hollyoaks star Jamie and they intended to marry. The couple lost their baby boy Archie earlier this year after he was born 18 weeks early.

Kym and Jack’s divorce will become final in six weeks time. Kym is expected to marry Jamie later this year.
