Gisele Bündchen already feels like a mum to step-son but might adopt too
Newlywed supermodel Gisele Bundchen has said she’s thinking of adopting a child from her native Brazil.
Gisele married American football star Tom Brady in a private ceremony in Santa Monica, California a month ago and are said to be planning a wedding celebration in Costa Rica for friends and family this weekend.
Gisele told Vanity Fair that she’s ready to start a family with the athlete but she’s thinking of adoption too: “I would love to adopt a child from Brazil.
“When you come from Sao Paulo, you see five-year-olds sniffing glue on the corner. You think, if you make a difference in the life of one of them, that makes your time on this Earth worthwhile.”
She added that she already feels like a mum to her 17 month old step-son John, from Tom’s previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan: “I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day.
“When we are in [Los Angeles], we have Johnny 50 per cent of the time. He’s a little angel - the sweetest, most cuddly, loving baby. I feel blessed to have him in my life.
“I understand that he has a mum, and I respect that. But to me, it’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child - I feel it is, 100 per cent. I love him the same way as if he were mine.”
