Josh Hartnett released from hospital

Josh Hartnett has been released from hospital after five days of observation - but doctors still don’t know what’s causing him pain.

The Black Dahlia actor was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in the early hours of last Monday morning after experiencing abdominal pain during a night out. His publicist confirmed the hospitalisation, saying it was a “flare-up” of gastrointestinal problems that started last year when he was performing in Rain Man in the West End.

Yesterday, his publicist added that he has been released from hospital again but the issue isn’t solved: “He has had a lot of testing.

“They released him, and they are trying to figure out what it might be. He is fine.”
