amy winehouseAmy Winehouse has reportedly flown back to St Lucia in the Caribbean to finalise buying a £3million home on the island.

The singer jetted to the island for a fortnight’s holiday just before Christmas but liked it so much she ended up staying for over two months. At the start of March, she returned to London to deal with ongoing administrative and legal issues - but return to the Caribbean last week to buy the holiday home.

A source told the Mirror: “Amy has instructed lawyers to draw up contracts with the developers and everything is set for her to buy it.

“A few days ago [her dad] Mitch stepped in and said he wasn’t sure. He’s worried about the possible distractions of drugs and partying on the island.

“But Amy says it’s better for her to be out there than in London. She has managed to get off hard drugs in St Lucia and is living a much healthier lifestyle.”

The beachside villa is part of the exclusive Sugar Beach development, set in 162 acres of rainforest and includes 24-hour butler and maid services.
