Gareth Gates and wife SuzanneGareth Gates has become a father for the first time after his wife Suzanne gave birth to a baby girl yesterday.

Daughter Missy made her grand debut yesterday morning, weighing in at 7lbs 08oz.

The Dancing on Ice star, who rose to fame on Pop Idol in 2001, said yesterday that he and Suzanne are “so excited” about the new arrival.

He added: “Missy is beautiful and we can’t wait to spend time together as a family.”
