eoghan quigg and diana vickersEoghan Quigg has revealed he no longer speaks to his fellow X Factor star Diana Vickers.

In the final weeks of the talent show last year, Eoghan and Diana were frequently linked, especially after Diana dumped her long term boyfriend and was then spotted kissing Eoghan at an after-party. But Eoghan has said that just a few months later, they’re not in touch.

He told BBC1’s Breakfast Show: “We were really really good friends, but there wasn’t a relationship like everyone thought there was. There wasn’t.

“[But] we’re not in touch now as I’m really, really, really busy. I’m single pringle now.”

The 16 year old has just released his self-titled debut album, a collection of cover songs like those he performed for the show. He explained that he was keen to write his own songs but it was more important to release the record “really quickly while my profile was still high.

“It’s pretty versatile. There’s songs from the show, high tempo, mid tempo and slow ones too.”

Eoghan came third on the ITV1 series last December, behind winner Alexandra Burke and runners-up boyband JLS.
