Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan’s dad Michael Lohan has said he’s delighted and relieved that Lindsay’s “toxic” relationship with Samantha Ronson is now over.

Michael, who has been largely estranged from Lindsay for the past few years, has been vocal about his dislike of the DJ throughout the women’s friendship and later relationship, calling Sam his “dark nemesis”.

Now after the women went their separate ways last weekend, he told TV Guide: “I’ve always believed that what Samantha has done, just dragging Lindsay around just to enhance her career, is wrong. It’s pretty evident now.

“So let’s see where Samantha’s career goes when Lindsay’s not around now. It’s cost Lindsay her emotions and her well-being.”

He added: “I hope Lindsay can move on. I know Lindsay’s upset over this, but it’s an opportunity for her to get on with her life and pursue her career and the goals she should’ve been pursuing all along.”

Earlier in the week, Lindsay said she was “so alone” and “really hurt” by Sam’s behaviour and yesterday was spotted having her hair dyed back to its natural red after a year of being blonde and brunette. Sam meanwhile was spotted having lunch with Paris Hilton’s ex-boyfriend, fellow DJ Benji Madden.
