Leonardo DiCaprio’s advice to Zac Efron: stay off drugs, you’ll be fine

Zac Efron has revealed that he’s had some career coaching from Leonardo DiCaprio.

Last year the High School Musical star revealed that he’d love to get some mentoring from Leonardo and/or Johnny Depp because both have successfully made the transition from teen heartthrobs to respected adult actors - and Zac told GQ magazine recently that he got a chance to chat to Leonardo at a recent LA Lakers basketball game.

Zac explained: “[Leo] said, ‘There’s one way that you can really f*** this all up. Just do heroin.’

“[He said] ‘If you steer clear of that – the other obstacles you’ll be able to navigate.’ And that makes sense, dude.”

Zac added that as well as hard drugs, he’s steering clear of partying in general and prefers to relax at home with friends instead of going out to clubs: “I wasn’t programmed by Disney. It’s common sense.

“If you’re gonna be drunk with your friends, don’t get wasted at the Chateau Marmont and hook up with some famous chick. It’s not rocket science.”
