Lindsay started dating Sam shortly after leaving her third rehab stint of the year in 2007 and is said to have been largely clean and sober during their relationship. However, sources close to the young actress say she’s been partying again since their split and was out clubbing three nights in a row last week.

Amid the club-going and hair-dyeing, Lindsay is said to have visited a tattoo parlour in West Hollywood and had a Marilyn Monroe quote tattooed on her inner wrist. The quote, which sits alongside her “breathe” white-ink tattoo, reads: “Everyone’s a star and deserves the right to twinkle.” Lindsay recreated one of Marilyn’s nude photo shoots for New York magazine last year, telling the publication that the 1950s sex symbol was a “prime example of what this industry can do to someone.”

However, a source close to the Mean Girls star said that despite Lindsay’s recent personal and professional setbacks, she is not beaten yet: “She’s being painted as this victim, but she’s not. She’s a strong girl.”
