Salma married business Francois-Henri Pinault in a private, civil ceremony Paris on Valentine’s Day but are said to be planning a blessing in Venice to allow their friends and family to celebrate their union.

A source close to the couple explained: “They are being very hush hush about it but it’s all go.

E! News has reportedly that Salma’s best friend Penelope Cruz and boyfriend Javier Bardem have already joined the couple in Italy ahead of this weekend’s ceremony.

The source added: “It won’t be huge and extravagant because they’re not into that sort of thing but it’ll be beautiful and special.”

Last month Salma denied reports that they were planning to spend $2million on a second ceremony, saying: “I think spending millions of dollars on a wedding is ridiculous and it has never been my dream. I would never do that.”

Salma and Francois-Henri have a 19 month old daughter Valentina together.
