Charlie Sheen: son does have a heart condition but it’s not serious

Charlie Sheen has admitted there was some truth to the rumours that one of his newborn sons has a heart condition.

The boys Max and Bob were born prematurely on 14th March but while Charlie and wife Brooke Mueller got to take Bob home later in the month, Max had to stay in hospital a while longer. At the time, Charlie dismissed reports that it was because of a health problem - just that the boy was still under weight - but now he’s admitted there was some truth in the stories.

He told Entertainment Tonight: “Max has something called ejection fracture. It’s the volume at which the heart pumps and how much blood the heart can pump.

“[But] there wasn’t anything that any other premature child, especially a twin, doesn’t normally go through.

“The reason he had to stay longer in the hospital than Bob was a weight issue.”

He added that the boys were deliberately delivered prematurely because Brooke’s health was at risk: “she would have been in serious jeopardy had they stayed in longer”.
