Lindsay Lohan is wrong to call me a cheat, says her dad

Lindsay Lohan’s dad has criticised her for saying he cheated on his ex-wife, her mum Dina.

Lindsay has previously alluded to dad Michael Lohan’s infidelity before her parents’ 2006 divorce and referenced it again on Ellen DeGeneres yesterday, saying that she hadn’t cheated on her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson because she had “watched my father do that to my mother my entire life”.

Michael told Extra: “It disturbs me that… [she] accuses me of cheating on her mother when I only did so when Dina and I were separated.”

Michael has been largely estranged from Lindsay for most of her adult life - their brief reconciliation after her third rehab stint of 2007 ended when Lindsay began dating Sam, who Michael labelled his “dark nemesis”.

He added: “She still continues to take the focus off of herself.

“I truly believe that if she involves the right people in her life and does the right thing, her life and career will be back in order and come to even higher levels than it has before.

“I love her, I have faith in her and I know God is working in her life. I’m happy to see that she is getting back on the right track.”
