jade goodyJade Goody’s sons have visited their mum’s grave for the first time.

The boys - five year old Bobby and four year old Freddie - were on holiday in Australia with their dad Jeff Brazier when Jade was buried at the start of the month. Jeff took the boys away to help the escape the public attention and outpouring of grief around their mother’s death, and the trio marked the funeral on the other side of the world by throwing messages-in-bottles into the sea for Jade.

Jeff and the boys returned to the UK last week and they finally visited Jade’s grave on Thursday, spending about an hour in the cemetery near their home in Upshire, Essex.

A source told the People newspaper: “It was an emotional visit filled with tears, laughter and joy.

“Both miss her dearly and wanted to tell her about the fun things they did with their dad.

“[They left a card, reading] “To The Best Mum, from Bobby and Freddy. Love U Loads xx.”

“The boys [also] ran about in the sun and stroked horses in the next field.”

Jade died as a result of cervical cancer last month.
