Cheryl Cole: women’s opinions mean more to me than men’s

Cheryl Cole has revealed that while she’s happy to be named the Sexiest Woman in the World in a recent poll by a men’s magazine, she prefers women’s opinions instead.

She told Hello magazine: “For me there’s no bigger compliment in the world than another woman saying, ‘My God, doesn’t she look gorgeous in that!’

“That to me is far more of a compliment than a man saying, ‘She looks sexy.’”

She explained that like many teenage girls, she liked baggy jeans and tops that hide her new shape - but when she joined Girls Aloud at the age of 18, she discovered “girlie clothes and high heels”.

She added: “As I’ve matured into a woman, I’ve reached the point where I realise I’ve got to concentrate on my best bits rather than struggle and strive for things I’ll never achieve.”
