denise richardsCharlie Sheen and ex-wife Denise Richards have revealed they’ve have finally put their differences behind them for the sake of their children.

The couple separated after three years of marriage in 2005, when daughter Sam was just a year old and Denise was still pregnant with younger daughter Lola. The couple exchanged in a bitter custody dispute on the run up to their divorce being finalised in November 2006 and have since returned to court on a number of occasions to fight over various aspects of their custody arrangements.

However, Denise revealed recently that the arrival of Charlie’s new twin sons - with new wife Brooke Mueller - has helped heal the rift between them: “We’ve come to a really great place… and I wanted to tell [our daughters] I went and saw their new brothers.

“We’ve worked so hard to get into a really good place… It’s important for our daughters and it’s much easier in life for us to get along than have conflict… Life is too short.”

Charlie added: “We started noticing when we get along the kids are much happier. We had to do what’s best for the girls.”
