sheryl_crow_00.jpgLance Armstrong has revealed he finished with Sheryl Crow because she wanted children but he didn’t.

The couple dated for more than two years before getting engaged in September 2005 - but by February 2006, their relationship was over.

In a new biography, Lance told author John Wilcockson that after their engagement, their relationship became “kind of a struggle”: “She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn’t want that, but I didn’t want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage, I’d just had kids [Luke, Grace and Bella].

“Yet we’re up against her biological clock - that pressure is what cracked it.”

He added they went to see a counsellor about their problems “but really there’s no way to counsel that situation.”: “Because if somebody wants a child - man, that’s the greatest gift you can give to a woman - so who are you to stand there and say I don’t want one.

“So we were at different points in our lives. We were not compatible on that issue.

“I felt like I wasn’t ready … I would have been in the future, but not then.”

In May 2007, Sheryl adopted a two week old baby boy Wyatt as a single mother and Lance is due to become a father again next month, after he and girlfriend Anna Hansen surprised doctors by conceiving naturally, even though medical experts thought he’d be sterile after his battle with testicular cancer.
