Matthew Broderick ‘ready but nervous’ about arrival of their twins
Matthew Broderick has said he’s ready but nervous about becoming a dad to twin baby girls later in the year.
Last month, Matthew and wife Sarah Jessica Parker revealed they are expecting the babies later in the year through a surrogate, and Matthew told The Late Show with David Letterman on Friday: “I’m ready… [but] I’m nervous just even thinking about it.
“I’ve asked people, ‘What’s it like to have twins?’ One father said, ‘I don’t recommend it,’ but the rest have been very positive.”
He added that the couple’s six year old son James Wilkie is “pretty excited” about the prospect of having little sisters: “He said, ‘We have to get a lot of princess toys.’”
Twins have been quite common on Hollywood over the last few years: Charlie Sheen & Brooke Mueller welcomed twin boys (Bob & Max) in March, Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt had a boy and a girl (Knox and Vivienne) last July, Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony also had a boy and a girl (Max & Emme) in February last year, and Dennis Quaid & wife Kimberley had another boy & girl (Thomas & Zoe) in November 2007.
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
