Kerry Katona has said her husband Mark Croft is the only person she can trust - and admitted that their split in March was just a misunderstanding.

The run-up to the couple’s four day separation was captured for Kerry’s new fly-on-the-wall show - including screaming arguments and fights. But Kerry told the Sun that’s just her way of communicating: “As you can see I can start an argument in an empty room. I can go a little bit over the top, I’m a drama queen! But all that rowing and swearing - that’s just our banter.

“Mark comes across as Satan in the new show. But he isn’t controlling me - I am not some little victim.”

The temporary split in March came after Kerry accused Mark of stealing money from her: “I had some money and Mark moved it into another of our accounts.

“He told everyone else but me and when I found out I kicked up a big fuss. I went over the top.”

In fact, she insists, he is supporting her not vice versa: “We’re living off Mark’s overdraft because the trustee of my bankruptcy has frozen my earnings, so I’m not being paid.

“So Mark can’t be sponging off me because I’ve got no money.

“Friends had said Mark got me bankrupt on purpose because he wants to control me, so my head was all over the place.

“But I knew all about his accounts, so how can he be laundering money from me? In the end there was no proof, nothing. I know my Mark, I trust him and we didn’t want to be apart.

“It’s the people who sell stories about me who are hurting me. Where are Mark’s stories? He’s the only one I can trust.”
