Lindsay Lohan’s home was reportedly broken into yesterday - but the intruders left empty handed.

According to police sources, the company that monitors the alarms on Lindsay’s Hollywood Hills home called police around 3pm local time yesterday to report that the alarm had been tripped. Police arriving on the scene said there was evidence of a break-in on the back door and a window had also been tampered with - but nothing appeared to be missing, it just looked “messy”.

A Los Angeles police spokesperson said yesterday: “It was an attempted burglary. No property was taken and no one was home at the time of the incident.”

A second police source added: “Detectives think it might be more of a stalker thing than a burglary.

“They’ve identified a ‘person of interest’, someone who has been following Lindsay, and they want to talk to him about what happened.”
