Alexandra Burke flies sister to LA to help homesick writer’s block

Alexandra Burke reportedly had to halt production of her debut album in Los Angeles last week because she is so homesick.

Following the schedule set by previous X Factor winners, Alexandra is expected to release the album this autumn to coincide with the new series of the show and has been based in LA since March, working with top producers on the offering.

But a source told the Sun that she’s suffering from writer’s block and isn’t performing at her best because she misses her friends and family in London so much - so is flying over her sister Sheniece to keep her company for a while.

The source explained: “Alexandra is really enjoying putting her album together but doesn’t know many people in LA.

“She’s finding the experience a little isolating so was relieved Sheniece agreed to travel over for a visit.”
