Katie Price reportedly hit the roof when she discovered that estranged husband Peter Andre has flown to Cyprus to be with his family, leaving her son Harvey in the UK with a carer.

Katie fled the country on Monday night after the couple announced their separation after three-and-a-half years of marriage. The glamour model, better known as Jordan, flew to the Maldives with the couple’s younger children, Junior and Princess (who turn four and two respectively next month), leaving son Harvey, who turns seven in a fortnight, behind.

Even though Harvey is Katie’s son from a previous relationship (with footballer Dwight Yorke), Katie and Peter have frequently said they consider Pete to be his dad - causing Katie to be shocked and surprised that Peter would leave him alone with a carer.

Katie is quoted as telling a friend: “Can you believe Pete’s f**ked off, leaving Harvey home alone?

“He’s just packed up his s**t and gone - he’s acting like a complete k**b. How dare he? If this is how it’s going to be from now on then so be it.”

But a source close to Peter told the Mirror that Pete had to fly out to be with his brothers because he was so distraught when Katie disappeared with their younger children - particularly as he didn’t know where they were at first: “All hell has broken loose. Family means everything to Pete.”

“[When he found out they were in the Maldives] he was saddened by her choice of destination as it holds so many memories of happier days [for them].

“Obviously he couldn’t take Harvey out of his special needs school, so he left him with his carer. Kate’s mum is around too.

“[But] Katie is incandescent as she wanted him to stay put in Surrey. Both parties are livid with the other and both feel they are in the right. It really is a no-win situation.”
